I am Angel Zamora, this is my second year on the team. I was on drive team last year, and am looking forward to doing it again. I will also be taking part in mechanical and design team this year. I want to make an impact on the team with my skills and experience with FIRST robotics. Although I may know lots of stuff about designing and manufacturing, I want to be able to gain many more skills so I can be more successful in the future as an engineer.
Hi, my name is Matthew Lowton and this will be my third year on the team. Joining the robotics team has taught me so much that I would've never learned with just school, which why I am grateful for being a part of this team. My position on the team is Mechanical Lead on long with Katera Burrows. As my future, I am striving to become a mechanical engineer. One of my special talents is I am able to solve a Rubix cube.
My name is Alexis Robinson and this is my first year on the team. I joined the team because I enjoyed the family atmosphere when I FIRST walked in. I am currently trying to dabble in every aspect of the team to learn everything that i can learn before the school year ends. An interesting talent of mine is that I make people laugh and cringe. I expect to gain friendships and new skills from this year, especially dabbling in mechanics and electrical. I also happen to be very creative and believe that my creativity could be a great contribution to the team.
Hi my name Chamil Joseph, I've been on the SigmaC@T robotics team for three years now and currently in the 12th Grade. After high school I plan on going to UCF to study Civil Engineering and after joining the U.S Air Force. In my free time I like to volunteer at my church to feed the homeless, and play soccer.
My name is Derek Carter, A.K.A. Techno Derek and I am on the Media and Mechanical team. I am fluent in engineering and STEM and I believe I am an important asset to the team. I will provide the team with my knowledge and skills in order to get the task done and hope to learn from others.
My name is Dylan Carter I am a freshman and this is my first year on the team. A fun fact about me is that I can build a rocket. I decided to join the team because I like robots so it only makes sense to join a robotics team. I plan to join the electrical section to learn the skills to build a properly functioning computer and laptop to that does not short out. I am excited to be apart of the team this year and to learn and grow as much as possible, also competitions sound like fun.
My name is Malik Pinder. I am a senior at Dillard High School and this is my third year on the SigmaC@T Robotics team. On the team, my role is mechanical and community outreach. One interesting thing about me is that I am part of my high school’s marching band and the national honor society.
This would be my first year on the team and some of the things I want to do for/with the team is to work on the mechanical side of the build and to gain new skills in soldering and a bit in the wiring side of things. I hope I can help the team in any way possible if its drilling, moving the testing carpet out or even coiling a cord I just want to help the team so that's why I'm so honored to be excepted in the team.
Hello. My name is Nyle Shield sand I have been on the SigmaC@t robotics team for 4 years working on my electrical engineering skills. I have made many friends on this team that I wish to keep for the rest of my life and i am always eager to meet more. Hello, my name is Oshawn Williams and this will be my first year on the team. I intend to become a part of mechanical. I joined the team because I want to experience the joy of creating a functioning robot and to gain the practical experience that comes with it.
Mentors are important in everyday life and we are privileged to have them take time out of their day to help us with learning and experiencing a once in a lifetime opportunity. The SigmaC@Ts have been very fortunate to have many talented and knowledgeable engineers and professionals assist them in all aspects of team operations over the years. Not only do they donate their time and energy into exceptionally demanding projects, but they do so with such care and attention for the students' needs and wants. Without proper consultancy our team would not exist.
